We call our programs ‘Women Health and Environment Awareness Programs’. The program is divided in 2 sessions, first being informative.
The following is covered in the programs:
SESSION 1: ABOUT 40-45 MINUTES
- Information on the biological process of menstruation
- Facts and myths associated with menstruation
- Health & hygiene during menses
- Menstrual sanitary protections used during menses
- Introduction of healthy and sustainable option menstrual cup-Shecup
- Comparison between conventional menstrual sanitary protections and Shecup
- How to use the Shecup and women anatomy
SESSION 2: ABOUT 10-15 MINUTES
- General discussion on the subject
- Queries from the participants
Ideally we need 45 minutes to an hour to conduct the program in the most effective manner. We use a presentation with pictures making it easy for the participants to understand the concepts. To conduct the program we need a room with projector, screen, basic sound system and big enough to accommodate the participants comfortably. Ideally we restrict the size of each group to about 80 – 100 although we’ve done much larger groups.
